Jojoba Oil is the liquid wax obtained from the seeds of the Jojoba shrub native to northwestern Mexico and southern Arizona and California. This rich oil is ideal in cosmetic, skin care, and soap making formulations as it closely resembles the sebum of the skin, which promotes a glowing complexion. Jojoba Oil has also been known to assist in fighting wrinkles and minimizing fine lines while rejuvenating dry, dehydrated skin without clogging pores. Due to the oils excellent skin care properties; Jojoba Oil is commonly used as carrier oil for essential oil aromatherapy blends and directly on skin as massage oil. Jojoba Oil is also widely used in hair care formulations to assist with dull, dry and frizzy hair. This versatile oil may also be used to bring down skin inflammation and for assisting with various skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Jojoba oil should be stored in a cool, dry environment, as extreme heat will lessen the shelf life.
