Consuelo Castiglioni explained to WWD: "The perfume reflects Marni’s fashion, certainly. Because it’s a perfume that’s quite individual, that doesn't evoke anything in particular. It’s for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn't follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric."

To meet the need for innovative designer fragrances, Consuelo Castiglioni proposed a perfume formula that was developed for her in the past by Givaudan perfumer Daniela Andrier. The fragrance was unusual because the characteristics of most perfumes—floral and fruity notes—were avoided. This raw spicy-woody formula is now enriched with dark and intense rose oil and incense.
